The Quest of the Sparrows by Neeru
The blurb on the book arrested my attention and I was compelled to buy it. After reading it I am happy to have purchased it. It has the potential of an Alchemist and I found it a shade better in content and thoughts.
I found the story it very inspiring and feel that it has immense value besides a wonderful storyline. Every page is full of value.
The book speaks of many things at many levels. But the premise of the book is a poser to all of us. When a sparrow can live every day of its life joyously and without hoarding for the future despite being so low in evolution then why do we human beings worry so much about future? Why is it that we do nothing significant with our lives? Why do we end up no different from a sparrow, despite being so powerful.
The story is about a 600 km journey without money and belongings. Partibhan, who is forced to become a guru in his father's ashram, sets off on this journey to test the relevance of spirituality in life. The exciting journey by Partibhan is an attempt to live for just a few days like a sparrow and see if survival indeed is no big deal. All this with hope that if he and his disciples survive the journey then they can survive the
